Let’s Talk About WYN BEAUTY Nothing To See Soft Matte Creamy Concealer

I purchased some WYN BEAUTY Nothing To See Soft Matte Creamy Concealer and I regret nothing. Who the heck is WYN Beauty you might be asking? If you haven’t heard Serena Williams has created a new makeup collection called WYN Beauty that’s available exclusively at Ulta. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking! “NOT another celebrity makeup brand!” Well, technically Serena is an athletic and not really a celeb right? So, let’s give her a pass! But in all seriousness, over the last few years a lot of celebrities, singers, and athletics have broken into the beauty industry. I mean, Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson has a line of body care for men. It’s been an interesting time for celebs to just randomly break into the beauty industry but they have and there’s no end in sight as we get some new makeup collection daily. I’m really waiting to see Meghan does something beauty wise with the American Riviera Orchard.

But I digress…Let’s get back to WYN Beauty. I didn’t expect Serena to be a person who would break into makeup world but she has and I didn’t expect much from her line but so far she’s really impressed me. I haven’t tried any of WYN Beauty’s color cosmetics yet but I can say that the Nothing To See Soft Matte Creamy Concealer and the amazingly beautiful Featuring You Hydrating Skin Enhancing Tint SPF 30 is a total win for me. Not only did I love the formulas but I was also, impressed with the shade range. I always struggle to find a good match as I’m not quite warm nor am I completely cool. I consider myself a light medium with a peach undertone and it seems a hard match to find. I’m always recommended foundations or concealers with olive, beige, or yellow undertones and they simply don’t work. I really liked the light medium range in WYN Beauty’s Collection! They had a great match for me!

Of course, as a concealer I quickly started swatching and playing when I saw the products in store. According to WYN Beauty the concealer is a cream-to-powder finish that has medium coverage and a soft matte finish that provides 72 hours hydration in a lightweight formula. It’s vegan and cruelty-free. The concealer is 0.18 oz in size and $25.

This comes in rather basic packaging. The green reminds me of a tennis ball! The box is green, the cap on the barrel is green, yeah, lots of tennis nods here. The barrel is long with a flat sponge applicator that fits nicely under eyes.

I was drawn to this formula after swatching it because of the light, creamy consistency. I love me a thick concealer but I’ve noticed with age sometimes the lighter, creamier consistencies apply more easily without creasing and this is one of those formulas. It’s cream yet thin which allows it to blend a little more easily under eyes. It is a soft matte finish as promised but not a drying one. I didn’t quite get the cream-to-powder finish initially but if you don’t blend it right away and let it sit where you put it for a few seconds you will notice it does go a bit more powdery. This wasn’t a bad thing as it didn’t crease under my eyes and provided smooth, even coverage. It isn’t Tarte Shape Tape super pigmented but the pigment it does have brightens up my eyes, conceals my puffiness, and gives me a nice refreshed look. It also wears beautifully at around seven hours before it starts to fade but thankfully, even by hour eight, it wasn’t creasing just fading away.

WYN BEAUTY Nothing To See Soft Matte Creamy Concealer Swatches (Shade 195 Stretch)

WYN BEAUTY Nothing To See Soft Matte Creamy Concealer was a very pleasant surprise. I think I’m naturally skeptical about celeb makeup collections and I always expect them to not really be all that great but Serena surprised me. As I said, I do hesitate to even call her a celeb but I think she might be pigeonholed into that category with WYN BEAUTY. And that’s ok, because WYN Beauty might be able to stand on its own as so far, the formulas are proving very nice!
