A Cleanser That Can Do It All

I’m going to be honest: I hate taking my makeup off at the end of the day. As someone with acne-prone skin, ridding my face of all traces of dirt, oil and makeup is an absolute must, but it’s also somewhat of a process. Between reaching for a makeup remover, cleanser, and then perhaps another round of cleanser, I low-key dread the ritual. But as soon as I gave Bubble’s new Magic Melt Micellar Milk a go, I realized I don’t have to put in so much effort (and time) to get my skin squeaky clean.

The brand describes the launch as a cleanser-meets-makeup remover that breaks down makeup, oil and SPF with ease. While it’s advertised as a first step in a double cleansing routine, I’m going to argue that this formula can accomplish everything on its own. For example, I typically wear a full face of makeup on a regular basis—foundation, concealer, blush, brow gel, the works—and this takes it all off in one go. Yes, including even the most stubborn waterproof mascaras.

Since all of Bubble’s formulations are made to be gentle on the skin, you’ll likely have little issues incorporating any of the brand’s products into your existing regimen, including the Magic Melt Micellar Milk. It’s meant to leave dry and sensitive skin hydrated and soothed, instead of tight and stripped of its natural oils.

It contains nourishing ingredients like oat extract (which is great for those who deal with eczema or redness), raspberry seed oil and meadow foam seed oil, which is likely why it leaves the skin feeling so refreshed instead of gasping for moisture. Essentially, you won’t feel like immediately running to your skincare creams to add hydration back into the skin after use.

As a shopping editor, I’ve tried my fair share of makeup removers and do-it-all cleansers, but this one has quickly risen to the top of my list. Plus, it retails for just $15, so you won’t feel bad about falling in love with it and purchasing it on repeat (which you will).
