Strained for good? Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship amid Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis is still pretty rocky. Several royal experts revealed that the brotherly bond is soured and it could impact the future King’s rule.
“They were really, really close and this is what makes it so sad that they’re now so far apart,” said royal expert Charles Rae to The Sun. “When William becomes king, I always believed Harry would be one of his top advisers. I think that’s out of the window.”
He continued, “They had each other. And it was them against the rest of the world but of course now it’s not happening.”
Rumors of a reunion between the Royal brothers swirled when Harry was planning to go back to the UK amid their father King Charle’s cancer diagnosis. “William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children [to the U.K.] and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far,” author Tom Quinn told The Mirror on Monday, April 1.
The Duke of Sussex is scheduled to be back in the UK on May to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the Invictus Games. As if the Prince and Princess of Wales “William and Kate are very consciously focusing on positivity and recovery,” the source told OK! “Harry is due in London early next month, but there are no plans as of yet to meet with him while he’s over. He’s reached out and sent best wishes, but a meeting might be a little premature,” the source added.
Harry reportedly found out about his sister-in-law’s medical news like the rest of the world—via the TV. “It is understood that Kate’s cancer diagnosis was not shared in advance with Harry and Meghan,” The Times of London reported on March 23, 2024. “Several sources confirm that there were no such conversations and it is thought Harry found out about Kate’s diagnosis from television, at the same time as the public.”
