Happy Tuesday is it? I hope you had a great long weekend and I hope you’re warm, cozy, and enjoying spooky season! I thought I’d share a few beauty loves at the moment and other things I love because it’s just fun to include other stuff too right?
Let’s get this love list started.
I’ve been a fan of Stephen King since 7th grade when my best friend John was reading IT and I was intrigued enough to skim through it when he showed it to me. Since that time I’ve been obsessed with all the cross references, all the books, all the backstories, and of course, all the films and mini series that have been done based off of King’s works. It’s hard to choose a favorite when it comes to Stephen King but Salem’s Lot is pretty high on my list. I dunno how old I was when I saw the original 1979 mini series but I do remember Danny Glick’s glowing eyes when Mike Ryerson is compelled to throw open Danny’s coffin. And of course, later in the series when Danny scratches on Mark’s bedroom window and begs entrance. I swear that scene haunted me for years as I saw it at such a very young age without my mom realizing I watched it. I must have been around four or five years at the time and my older cousins were watching the rerun of the series on some back channel and I happened to sit with them to watch it. Later in life I read the novel and it was just as haunting as watching it unfold on TV. Of course, I’ve also seen the Rob Lowe version which I did like but I gotta say, the new version isn’t half bad. It’s playing now on MAX and most King fans hate it and I can see why as they took liberties with the story plus serving up a Salem’s Lot into an hour and a half film is challenging. But I liked it..! It was entertaining and no, it wasn’t true King style but it wasn’t horrible enough for a super fan to hate it either. I’m gonna stick it up here in the “other things I love at the moment”! I recommend watching it and seeing what you think! It’s a fun, quick spooky watch for the season! Spoilers: Father Callahan might not make it to Mid-World after this movie.
A Tiktoker recommended these KAHI Multi Balms that are available amazon.com and I got one and well, ok, I like it. A lot. You can use it on your lips, your face, or your eyes! It’s actually really nice for use under eyes pre-eye cream! It’s moisturizing, glides on easily, and leaves skin feeling soft! Ok, Tiktok, you got this one right! I’ll buy it again!
I’m positive I mentioned it before but Jouer Luminize Overnight Dark Circle Slugging Balm is my bestest friend especially right now as the cold weather is setting in. If you love Hourglass Equilibrium Intensive Hydrating Eye Balm you’ll adore this. This is a vaseline-like eye balm that leaves eye SUPER hydrated! It works best at night but you can use a little dab in the AM as well if you’re super dry under your eyes. It works great at restoring moisture and leaves the delicate skin under your eyes softer and smoother.
The best makeup I’ve purchased for myself recently is the Lisa Eldridge Seamless Glide Eye Pencil in Renaissance Gold. This is thee most beautiful golden brown! It shimmers so beautifully and the formula is like butter! I wish she had more shades available of this incredible formula. It’s actually on sale at spacenk.com this week so I grabbed a backup! Use code 20OFF.
What’s on your love list this month? It can be makeup or anything else! Let me know.
