Cantu Beauty, a renowned brand for hair and skin care, is pleased to announce a new line of newly formulated products with organic ingredients. These products are specially designed to cater to the needs of people with wavy, curly, and coily hair. Cantu Beauty has partnered with Skai Jackson, an award-winning actress, and Cantu’s new brand ambassador, to officially launch this new line of reformulated products. The products are enriched with certified organic fair trade shea butter, which is sourced in partnership with the Global Shea Alliance. The new product line aims to provide increased moisture to maintain hair health and ensure it looks fabulous. Our team had the opportunity to sit down with Skai Jackson regarding the newfound partnership. Here’s what she had to say:
Skai J.:” I always had a hard time finding products for my hair, and Cantu is a brand I’ve
always used, so this is a full circle moment for me. The brand has been so amazing to
my hair.”
Hype Hair: How do you feel the trajectory for black people to wear natural hair without
shame in different industries?
Skai J: “Well, I’ve began to see things now, even with men and their natural hair and
dreads in school or the workplace, and how their either asked to cut or shave their hair.
However, everyone’s hair is different and no person with natural textured hair should
feel obligated to change their crowns to make anyone else comfortable.”

Hype Hair: What does it mean to be representing a renowned brand that’s working to
improve products and communities by controlling the bias of different hair textures?
Skai J: “I love that now we don’t have to do that anymore. Even in my own career
experience, if I wasn’t excepted because of my hair, I’d remove myself from the
equation. I can appreciate how we are sticking together supporting these brands and
each other.”
The actress says she looks forward to all upcoming events with the partnership, as she is thrilled to share details of the new products and represent the brand in 2024. Cantu has improved the recipe for their popular Cantu Leave-In Conditioning Repair and other products by increasing the number of natural oils with no silicone and drying alcohol. This change has made the product healthier for many hair types, as shea butter, avocado, grapeseed oil, and other natural oils have been added to provide strength and nourishment. Like Cantu, dozens of companies are taking advantage of the trend of creating sustainable, natural, and organic beauty products. The new products for Cantu will be available online and in stores soon.
