Haus Labs Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick Set the Way for a New Trend

Blush sticks are not new by any means but they are creating a “new” blush trend for Summer 2024 with all these recent releases. Haus Labs just dropped a new Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick and Kylie Cosmetics recently added a new Powder Blush Stick to their collection. And don’t forget Milani Luminoso Cream Blush Stick! I felt fairly confidence I had the Summer 2024 Blush Trend down as more glowy liquid blushes à la Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand. I’m seeing a lot of different cream and liquid blushes starting to launch and even ones popping up at the drugstore like the new Maybelline Sunkisser Blush , bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Liquid Blonzer Blush + Bronzer, and Makeup Revolution Bright Light Blush Drops. No matter the formula though there is a rather large number of blushes launching lately like Luminous Silk Cheek Tint from Armani, the new It Cosmetics Glow with Confidence Sun Cream Blush with Hyaluronic Acid, GXVE Dewyplump Collagen Boosting Cheek Tint, and others! Does this mean we’ll finally get a reformulation and shimmer finish of Tarte Amazonian Blushes? Because I’ve been waiting for 800 years now for that to happen!

Why are brand so suddenly blush happy? I’m not really sure but I’m here for it. I feel like the blush side of the makeup world definitely needs some fresh picks! Kosas has a stunning baked blush coming up shortly that reminds me of Laura Geller Baked n Blush and I’m excited to check that out. It’s definitely turning into the season of the blush and I’m here for it.

As for Haus Labs they just recently introduced Color Fuse Talc-Free Blush Powder With Fermented Arnica and now we’re on to their new multitasking lip and cheek balm for Summer 2024. The claim to fame with this formula is that it’s a serum base that acts as a skincare of sorts as well as a blush. It contains a goji berry complex and fermented arnica (a pretty common ingredient in a lot of the Haus Labs’ releases). These two ingredients act to sooth redness while plumping skin. I’m always a little skeptical of color cosmetics that claim to have skincare benefits but the marketing reads that the formula is made up of 70% skincare. And sure, that makes no sense to me as I don’t know if I need my blush to be that much of a skincare but hey, if it actually works why not?

But if you’re like me and just here for the color you’ll be happy to see the Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm are available in eight shades with a long-wearing formula that provides a glass-like finish (I assume they are dewy) and sheer to buildable color coverage. If the promo images are accurate they look beautifully dewy on cheeks. I loved the Pat Mcgrath Divine Blush Legendary Glow Colour Balm but always wished it was a bit more dewier perhaps this formula will be better! Not to mention these can be used on lips too and I’ve always struggled with cheek slash lip products as typically the formulas are a bit dry and uneventful on lips. But if these are as dewy and glassy as they look that may make them great for both lips and cheeks! The shades are $34 each and will be available shortly. Think you want to try one?
