Here Are Two Fragrances I Purchased This Holiday Season

I told myself I wouldn’t purchase anymore fragrances until Spring but that sort of went out the door when Maison Mataha dropped not one but two new scents for the Holidays! That also, went out the door when Jousset released not one but four new gourmands. It’s been a hard month for fragrances. After those hauls I put myself on a ban and told myself nothing new until Spring or Summer. That went out the door when The Maker introduced Dream and Clean dropped Whipped Cherry. My only comfort is that I ordered travel sprays in these and I kinda hope I don’t like them so I don’t need to haul the larger sizes but I’m almost positive I’m going to love at least one.

The drama of it all.

These already both have five star ratings on Sephora which I absolutely have taken with a grain of salt. The lying in reviews is over the top lately! If you ever watched fragrance Tiktoks and the absolute frenzy they create when something new drops you’d have to sit in a dark room to calm your nerves.

As you know, since we already discussed it last week, the new Clean Reserve Whipped Cherry Eau de Parfum ($32) has arrived. Clean seems to favor releasing gourmands in the Spring as last year they dropped Sparkling Sugar around the same time. I’m not entire sure about this but I’m excited to try it. It’s supposed to be a warm, spicy gourmand with notes of wild cherry, pineapple, and cconut and a floral combination of almond blossoms and mimosa and a heart of pralines, vanilla cream, and more cherry. The cherry, vanilla, and praline sounds amazing but the almond and tropical fruits I’m not so sure about. I dropped my change on the travel spray to try out! Let’s see how it goes!

Next up is the one I’m really excited for! It’s The Maker Dream Eau de Parfum Travel Spray ($42)! I was tempted to do a full bottle but I went in for a travel spray like a logical adult. This one sounds incredible. It’s a warm sweet gourmand with notes of vanilla bourbon, cozy cinnamon butter, amber, magnolia, and sandalwood. The magnolia scares me but not so much I’m not dying over the vanilla and cinnamon notes! I hope this one is good.

Did you indulge in any new fragrances this season? Which ones?
