We’re approaching another NFL season and that means only one thing: Swiftie Spotting. After Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce‘s relationship with Taylor Swift went public in September 2023, all fans ever want to know is if she’ll be at the game.

She made her first appearance at the Chiefs game versus the Chicago Bears on September 24, 2023, after months of speculation about her romantic connection to Kelce. “The amazing part is … we’re told there were no fans screaming for Tay Tay as she walked into the stadium, and made her way to the suite,” TMZ reported at the time.
Since then, she’s been a fixture at Chiefs games when her Eras Tour hasn’t stood in the way, ushering in a whole new football fan to the mix. “I’m so happy that more women and young ladies are finally finding football and finding out how exciting it is, how fun it is,” Donna Kelce told us before the Super Bowl in February. “I’ve gotten so many letters from dads to say, ‘Thank you. My daughter’s finally watching football. She’s understanding the game, she’s enjoying it. This is something that we can share.’ So just for that, it’s just making families feel more at one.”
Is Taylor Swift going to the Chiefs kick-off game?
With her Eras Tour not returning until October 18 in Miami, Swift has some down time to enjoy so we’d say it’s highly likely she’ll be there at Arrowhead on September 5. The first game of the season—traditionally when defending Super Bowl champs host—is a big one.
She could also be, theoretically, at every game until the team’s week 6 bye, right up until their week 5 game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday, October 7. The next Chiefs game is on October 20, by that time Swift will be in Miami.
Seems like the National Football League is banking on it (literally), too. In their promo for the upcoming season depicting some 2023 highlights, they showed Swift no fewer than five times in the 29-second video shared to X.
That’s not all, but according the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Swift has taken an interest in the mechanics of the sport. “She’s really interested in football and she asks a lot of great questions,” Mahomes told NBC. “She started drawing up plays, we might have to put one in.”
The level of exposure Swift’s attendence gets at games as rub some fans up the wrong way, however, but she responded to the backlash saying it’s not her who directs the broadcast team where to point the camera.
“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once,” she told TIME Magazine. “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.”
