Kesha New Tik Tok Lyrics Slam Diddy Amid Sex Trafficking Case

Don’t stop, make it pop! Kesha changed her lyrics to “Tik Tok” amid the Diddy’s sex trafficking investigation. The “Timber” singer made a surprise appearance at Coachella and made a clear statement against the producer.

In her first Coachella set, Reneé Rapp brought Kesha to her set to perform the hit 2010 song together. The two pop stars changed the first line of the song: “Wake up in the morning like f**k P. Diddy“—clearly deviated from the original “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy.”

The change comes after Diddy’s homes were raided in March 2024. The raid, which was conducted by Homeland Security, was done in connection to an ongoing federal sex trafficking investigation.

Authorities conducted the raids following a series of multiple serious allegations against the rapper. In November 2023, R&B singer Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging sexual and physical abuse during their relationship. Cassie, who dated Diddy from 2005 to 2018, accused the producer of beating her, coercing her into sex with other men, and raping her in 2018. The lawsuit was settled out of court the next day.

“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love,” Combs said in a Friday statement obtained by CNN, with his lawyer adding: “A decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing,” Ben Brafman said. “Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

Kesha also made changes to the lyric of Tik Tok when the settlement news broke. “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me,” she sang on her Only Love Tour at the Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium. The pop star continued the song with no additional lyrical changes. The pop singer is also set to release new music after a nine-year long legal battle with producer Dr. Luke. “First day I’ve owned my voice in 19 years. Welcome,” she said.
