Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth Cherry Baby Eau de Parfum is a new fragrance that launched a few weeks and is the third release in Sabrina’s fragrance collection. I’m seeing mixed reviews on it as some people say they love it and others say it’s a no but as someone who is always yearning for a true cherry fragrance this did not disappoint me! The problem with cherry fragrance is their are too few of them and the ones we do get are all Tom Ford Lost Cherry replicates. Cherry Baby bypassed all that and we get a sweet, slightly tart and syrupy cherry fragrance that hits all the right notes.
Lets take a look!
Sabrina Carpenter Cherry Baby Eau de Parfum is available in two sizes. You can snag the 1 oz for $29.99 or they have a 2.5 oz available for $49.99 and a body mist option for $9.99. I did a blind buy and purchased the larger size since I’ve had great success with Sabrina’s past fragrances and lucky enough, I was right! I love it. The fragrance comes in a thick chocolate bar shaped bottle that resembles the viral Dubai Chocolate Bar everyone can’t stop talking about on Tiktok. It’s a beautiful burgundy red and aside from color is identical to the other two Sabrina Carpenter fragrances.
The fragrance has top notes of cherry cosmo, glazed apple, and apple plum nectar. The first spray is pure alcohol bit it quickly settles onto your skin in a sweet slightly tart super syrupy layer of cherry. It’s perfection! It’s pure cherry goodness! I couldn’t be more happy with that first spritz! It’s sweet and a little tart almost fermented and boozy and heavy on the syrup but not so sugary sweet that it gives you a headache. For example, I love me some Bath and Body Works Cherry Merlot but if I use it as a room scent it gives me a bit of a headache! Speaking of which this does sort of smell like Cherry Merlot! To me Cherry Merlot smells like kindergarten! When I was a kid we’d have snack time with a small glass of some sort of fruit punch or fruit juice and two little cookies. Cherry Merlot smells exactly like the juice they’d give us. The first time I smelled it I was instantly transported to being 5 years old again. This definitely gives off similar vibes and is a very close sister to that scent. I do think you can smell a little of the apple and plum in the mix but it’s very faint and the cherry dominates.
It’s supposed to have floral heart notes of red poppy and peony along with a bit of dark chocolate but I can’t really smell that at all! As it dries down it should begin to show us signs of the darker base notes which as cashmere woods, musk, and patchouli elixir. This is where I feel it could have entered the realms of a darker gourmand but it actually never loses the sweet, syrupy cherry top notes on my skin! I was concerned it would go warmer and the patchouli would make in a darker fragrance than it was at the start. But nope, none of that comes into play and it retains it’s playful sweetness well after it dries down. I think the nicest part about this fragrance is it will pair up quickly nicely with a variety of other scents that may contain notes of marshmallow, vanilla, or other warmer, cozier scents as the sweet cherry will go nicely with gourmands. I haven’t tried it yet but I bet it’ll add an extra sweet note to Tom Ford Lost Cherry! The two together would smell divine! Sadly, it doesn’t last very long. Be sure to pair it up with an unscented or cherry scented body lotion if you have one as the scent does wear away rather quickly at around two hours.
Sabrina Carpenter Cherry Baby Eau de Parfum is a solid yay for me. I absolutely adored this. It’s playful, it’s sweet, it’s cute, and it’s all cherry, all day. Absolutely love it.
