Charles “Chock” Chapple, a 60-year-old Insurance Executive from Wichita, Kansas, was one of 24 contestants on the first season of The Golden Bachelorette led by Joan Vassos. Joan, a 61-year-old Private School Administrator from Rockville, Maryland, was previously a contestant on Season 1 of The Golden Bachelor with Gerry Turner, where she sent herself home in 12th place in Week 3 to care for her daughter, who had a medical emergency.

SPOILER: What happens to Chock on The Golden Bachelorette?
Chock was the winner of The Golden Bachelorette Season 1 and received Joan’s last rose at the Final Rose Ceremony in the finale, according to Reality Steve. Chock won The Golden Bachelorette after Joan sent home her fourth-place finalist, Jordan Heller, a 61-year-old Sales Manager from Riverwoods, Illinois, after Hometown Dates.

Her other two finalists, Guy Gansert, a 66-year-old ER Doctor from Reno, Nevada, and Pascal Ibgur, a 69-year-old Salon Owner from Glencoe, Illinois, went home after Fantasy Suite Dates. Guy was sent home by Joan, while Pascal self-eliminated because he wasn’t in love with Joan, according to Reality Steve, who couldn’t confirm who came in third place and who was Joan’s runner-up.
Reality Steve originally reported that Chock came in third place on Joan’s Golden Bachelorette season, while Guy was her winner. However, he later corrected himself and confirmed that Chock was Joan’s winner.

Chock also received Joan’s first One-on-One Date in Week 1 of The Golden Bachelorette. For the date, the two went to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where they were seen talking on a bench near Sleeping Beauty’s castle and standing from a balcony on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Joan’s winner, Charles “Chock” Chapple, is a 60-year-old Insurance Executive from Wichita, Kansas. His Instagram handle is @chockchapple.
According to his Linkedin, Chock is the president of Insurance Services Group, a full-service insurance agency that offers business, personal, health, and safety services, based in Wichita, Kansas. He’s held the role since 2020. Before his current career, Chock was the owner of the company CIG Insurance from 2004 to 2020. “I’m originally from a small town in Garden Plain, Kansas and has spent the last 30 years in Wichita,” his Linkedin biography reads. “I attended Kansas State University and graduated with degrees in both Labor Relations and General Business Administration. My grandfather and father were insurance pros dating back to the 1920’s.”
