It’s Monday! I’m tired from the weekend and my eyes are suffering. Puffy, dry, and just not looking awake! My solution? Concealer and lots of it but most importantly tons of hydrating eye cream before I pile on that pigmented concealer. I’m of an age now that having the most hydrated under eye area on the block is the most important part of my makeup prep. I have A LOT of favs in the eye cream world but I’m often rotating what I use to see what gets my the best results.
One thing that we are seriously lacking in the eye product is eye serums! Why don’t we have more of them? We def have a few but not nearly as many as I’d like to see! One of my favs serum of sorts that I apply before any eye cream is the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives Hyaluronic Acid + Caffeine Hydrating Eye Serum. I LOVE this stuff. It’s seriously the best way to not only add extra moisture but also, it seems to plump up the skin under the eye which makes finer lines look smoother!
I have been cheating on it lately though….!
Erborian Yuza Sorbet Eye Radiance Eye Serum is my new go to girl! This a Vitamin C serum that acts to hydrate and brighten. Personally, I can’t speak for the brightening as I didn’t notice much of that happening but as far as moisture it delivers! This is a thicker gel which I apply after my other skincare. I allow it to sit under my eyes as I get dressed and once it sets I immediately apply my very favorite eye cream. I really think the combo of using this and my hydrating eye cream results in a smoother, well hydrated eye area. Plus if you use pigmented or matte concealers like Tarte Shape Tape this will make it go on like butter!
I follow up by applying Heimish Marine Care Algae + Peptide Eye Cream. It’s my absolute FAVORITE hydrating eye cream! It’s thick, absorbs easily, and truly leaves eyes super duper hydrated and smooth! It’s fantastic! I’ve recommended it a lot in the past but using it in combination with the Erborian Eye Serum is really doing wonders for my drier eyes.
