With drama spiraling off-cameras, many fans wonder if a Selling Sunset season 8 reunion will actually happen. The cast members aren’t sitting down after this season and there’s a good reason as to why.
Ever since season 5 of the hit Netflix real estate series, Queer Eye‘s Tan France has hosted a reunion special among all the cast members. A reunion is usually expected two weeks after the season airs, but several cast members have sworn not to work with each other since season 8 was released on September 6, 2024. Cast members like Chrishell, Chelsea, and Bre are vocal about their plans for the future of the show and where they stand with their fellow Oppenheim co-workers.

Why isn’t there a Selling Sunset season 8 reunion?
Variety reported that tensions among the group have contributed to a reunion not being filmed for season 8. Different dramatic plot points caused rifts among the cast and some stars don’t want to be filmed together—ever.
In one plot point, Nicole Young heard a rumor from a “source” that Emma Hernan had an affair with a married man. She brings this up several times to her castmates who had little to no interest. Emma never responded to the claims, but Mary Fitzgerald told Us Weekly that Emma has been “extremely upset” since the start of the rumors. “I feel bad. She doesn’t deserve to be called out like that,” Mary said. “Especially the fact that it’s not true.”
After learning of Nicole’s allegations against Emma, Chrishell Stause and Chelsea Lakzani, slammed Nicole on Instagram, accusing her of lying about the rumor to have more screen time. “Someone needs to take my phone [because] 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Are we really still giving air time to LIARS that just want air time??” Chrishell wrote in an Instagram Story at the time. “I will NEVER work on a show with her on it again. I would rather be sued.”
She continued, tagging Selling Sunset’s producers Done and Done Productions. She wrote, “You are disgusting for blindsiding her with this to see with the world instead of letting her at LEAST defend herself with the TRUTH.”
One infidelity isn’t enough for this season because Bre Tiesi dropped the bombshell that Chelsea Lazkani’s husband cheated on her on camera. Though she appreciated the sentiment beforehand, Chelsea accused Bre of trying to set her up on camera. “If you bring something to camera to implode my life — as opposed to just calling me — you will do it on camera. It is really sad,” Chelsea said. “I just want to know what the f—k it is.”
Chelsea doubled down on her co-star on X after the show aired on Netflix. She wrote in a post thread, “Outside of filming Amanda contacted Bre about “tea” – while filming, Bre orchestrated a fake call during her showing which ‘led to a sit down scene with Amanda’ …in other words: she set this scene up with production, already knowing said tea to bring it to tv.”
